Our psychotherapy practice was born out of the desire to provide an opportunity for individuals to develop a sense of belonging, acceptance and a space where they can openly talk about their vulnerabilities. For this reason, our approach is culturally and racially informed all rooted within a psychodynamic and relational framework. A psychodynamic and relational approach is strongly valued and is expected clinicians hired at the practice operate from this common theoretical understanding. We look for unconscious motivations to human behavior but also understand it is rooted in social context and relationships. Therefore, our ideal candidate would have already demonstrated interest in these theoretical approaches and/or is open to train (via supervision and training) to help solidify their interest in a psychodynamic practice as well as their sensibility to cultural differences. We want to create a small group practice that is focused and passionate about psychodynamic and relational work.
The benefit of working in a small practice is that you are not a number but a clinician we care about by investing in your professional development and growth. We want you to find in The Healing Journey Psychotherapy a professional home. We want you to you stay with us. However, we understand if at some point after spending time learning and growing with us, you want to venture on your own. That is a conversation we encourage you have with us.
